Paul Reed Clements

1981 ~ 2011
Paul Reed Clements, 30, passed away at his home surrounded by loving family September 6, 2011 after a valiant and courageous battle with brain cancer. Paul was born July 17, 1981 to David and Mary Clements in Payson, Utah. Paul's favorite past times were hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. For the last 11 years his whole world revolved around his wife and 3 children. He was a "Jack of all trades". He was known for his quality of work when framing and building homes. Paul was a loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle. Paul had a heart of gold and will truly be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Nicole Clements; his 3 children: Kaylea Marie Clements (11), Chandler James Clements (6), and Alee Jayde "AJ" Clements (9 months) all of Payson. He is also survived by his father, David Clements of Springville; his mother, Mary Clements of Payson; mother and father-in-law, Jim & Marie King of Provo; 2 brothers, Jeff Clements and Jon Clements of Payson; brother-in-law, Jimmy King; 3 sisters, Gayle Clements, Mary Joy Clements, and Nicky Clements (Britini) of Payson; aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces, Elise Clements, Gillyan Clements and Dezirae King.
We would like to express our appreciation for the love and kindness shown to Paul and our family to Dr. Nathan Rich, Nancy Mortensen and their entire staff; Margaret and Dave from Hospice; as well as Dr. Jay Clark and the staff there.
Viewing will be Friday, September 9, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville, Utah and Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the mortuary from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the services at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Payson City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the Clements's family name at any UCCU.

Four Days To Go!

Can you believe that there are only 4 days left until the Run For Paul 5K?!  There is still plenty of time to spread the word to all of the friends, family, neighbors, and strangers in your life!  Please take a second to give someone a call or post the link to the registration on this blog, on your facebook page, or your personal blog.

Branson Tanner and his friends and family have been working hard to make the Run For Paul 5K a success.  As part of the fundraising process they have been burning up the phone lines collecting some amazing things from local businesses to go towards the silent auction and raffle drawings being held just after the 5K.

That's right, we said silent auction!!!  (And raffle drawings!)

So, dust off those running shoes and don't forget the checkbook (of course we won't turn you away if you bring cash, too!), and we'll see you all on Saturday at 8:00AM!

And just as a reminder, 100% of all money received through donations, registrations, auctions, etc, will be going to Paul and his family.

This is just a friendly reminder that you have only 11 days to register for the Run For Paul 5K.  Adults registration/donation is only $20 each and remember that you have until July 1st to order your t-shirt size.  Otherwise, shirts are first come first serve.  Kids 10 and under walk for free!  Of course any and all donations are much appreciated for this wonderful cause!

Run For Paul 5K Walk/Run

In May 2010 Paul Clements was diagnosed with a stage 4 Glioblastoma brain tumor.  After many intense treatments of chemo and radiation, Paul's tumor is still rapidly growing.  On May 16, 2011, the family was given the news that would once again completely change their lives.  Paul was given a short 6-9 months to live.  The family is in desperate need of support from their local community.  Every prayer and every penny will help!

Here is where you can help out.

The Run For Paul 5K Walk/Run is being organized by Branson Tanner for his Eagle Project.  100% of proceeds will go to help benefit Paul and his family.  The details of the race are as follows:

- Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 8:00 AM
- $20 registration fee for 5K, T-shirt included.  (When registering on or before July 1st, please specify which shirt size you prefer.  Otherwise race t-shirts will be available on a first come, first serve basis on the day of the run.)
- Registration will also be available on the morning of the race.
- 10400 S. 5200 W. in Payson.  Meet in the LDS church parking lot.  (Find a map on the sidebar of this blog)
